This is a list of the Capt Graham/Dr May/Dr Roche collection of books, articles, cuttings etc.  Dr May added to Captain Graham's collection, as did Dr Roche when he inherited the collection from Dr May.  Mrs Roche handed the collection on to me when Dr Roche died.  The archival material which I have collected or received is included at the end of the list.

It is my hope to keep the collection intact and to make as much information as possible available to breed enthusiasts. When my turn comes to pass it on, I intend, with the agreement of The Irish Wolfhound Club of Ireland, to find a suitable and safe home where it will be preserved.

Memorabilia (statues, etc) from the  collection bought by Elizabeth from Mrs Roche are featured under 'Dr May's Collection'.  Some committee members of the IWC of Ireland also bought some items.  If these can be traced, I will include photographs.

  No Publisher details  Illustration of 'Scot' at the beginning is in colour.
    This appears to be the original edition.  Graham's copy.   "Written about August 1879" in handwriting inside.  
    The printed text is attached on to the right-hand pages, leaving the left pages blank for Graham's notes.
    Number of pages;  22 pages  (approx 15000 words).   
    There are 11 pages of handwritten notes  with some drawings.

    This copy, signed inside by G A Graham, is in excellent condition.
    The illustrations of "Colin" and "Scot"  not  included at the beginning of this copy.

  copy 2 Appears to be Graham's work copy.  It is well used.  Seven pages with drawings are taped into the front.
    There are some notes and corrections throughout the book.   
  Inserts At the back there are; six pages of notes with one drawing; many newspaper cuttings; a write up on Graham's The Irish Wolfhound, including data on the newly formed Irish Wolfhound Club and an article on  The History of the Irish Wolf-Dog
 by Prof. J P O'Reilly  1890.

    Dr Roche states that Dr May's involvement with the breed dates from 1930 till his death in 15.2.1971.
    He was President of the IW Club of Ireland for many years, ending with his death in 1971.

Found  in a UK book shop.  Not in good condition.  No date. The front cover is rejoined to the book with white tape – some pages with reprint details may be missing.  It is the same size and shape as the  1972 edition, but unlike the that edition, it is printed on glossy paper. Also it has the title on the front cover instead of the spine.

Can anyone supply the date of this reprint?
